Beanstalk School in Queen Village offers a specialized Junior Kindergarten program for children who miss the September 1 age-five kindergarten cutoff. A Reggio-inspired STEAM approach
Children are natural researchers. Their interests and questions guide in-depth projects, collaborative investigations and hands-on exploration. Through science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics, children design, build, test ideas and connect learning to the world around them.
Growing independence and readiness
Our kindergarten-style classroom supports early literacy, mathematical thinking, scientific inquiry and social-emotional growth. Children practice managing tasks, following classroom routines, working with peers and expressing their ideas with confidence.
Pennsylvania learning standards
Our curriculum is purposefully aligned with Pennsylvania Kindergarten learning standards. Teachers use these benchmarks alongside child-led inquiry to plan experiences that build skills over time and support the transition to elementary school.
